High-end residential CCTV project: Protecting a large stately home with IP security cameras
This customer, the owner of a prestigious property in West Berkshire, contacted Safeguard Systems to upgrade their CCTV cameras and surveillance infrastructure.
The current CCTV system had become unreliable and was beginning to fail. They needed to upgrade the surveillance cameras and for us to install a new network/data infrastructure across the site so to future-proof the system.
The customer wanted new cameras in the existing locations and four additional devices added to the system to provide complete coverage.
The upgraded IP CCTV cameras provided superior footage quality. Furthermore, the newly added surveillance cameras improved security and reduced any vulnerabilities.
Technical audit & full CCTV system upgrade: Securing property and protecting people
Following a site survey and several customer meetings, we submitted a system design proposal and quotation for the client to review.
The new IP surveillance cameras needed to be a minimum of 1080p HD and the customer needed to have full control and monitoring capability via their security office and in the main house.
Due to the location of this property, to aid detection, the cameras had to supply crystal clear images in low light conditions and after dark.
Furthermore, the property in question is a beautiful stately home. The system design and camera selection had to be sympathetic to the aesthetic of the property, its surroundings and needed to be well concealed.
Lastly, new CCTV poles were installed in new camera positions around the gardens.
The Outcome: Crystal clear CCTV footage with IP (PoE) security cameras. Property and family protected.
With security for the family and assets in mind, the new upgraded system provides complete crystal clear coverage around the property.
The old failing system left them vulnerable to thieves and intruders by delivering poor image quality at best and no footage at worst.
Upon handover, the customer was fully trained on the use of the system.
