Video surveillance system for a logistics business - design and install
Safeguard Systems were contacted by a national logistics business as they were looking to improve security and deter a range of threats.
The theft of goods, break-ins, vandalism and maintaining staff safety were all considerations for this business. Surveillance cameras needed to be highly visible to act as a deterrent and image quality after dark was paramount to provide 24/7 security.
Having designed and installed a range of video surveillance systems for warehouses and logistics businesses, we knew we could help this customer protect and secure their site.
Site survey and video surveillance system recommendations
After an initial consultation with the security manager, one of Safeguard Systems’ surveyors met with them and completed a full site survey. Considering the nature of the threats, we recommended external video surveillance cameras and an alarm system to provide internal protection.
The external video surveillance cameras were to be positioned to monitor the site for potential break-ins and trespass and would be monitored internally. The alarm system was recommended to offer an additional layer of security.
Safeguard Systems recommended a video surveillance system comprising of:
- 10 external IP Bullet Cameras
- 2 internal IP Turret Cameras
- 16 Channel Network Video Recorder
- Wired security alarm system covering 8 zones
Video surveillance system: The project outcome
Safeguard Systems deployed a team of experienced video surveillance system installers to deliver this project.
All external areas of the site were covered by surveillance cameras offering crystal clear footage which the client can view 24/7 via an industry-leading application.
The alarm system was deployed with sensors covering all key internal areas of the site. This logistics business is now protected against a range of security threats and the system meets all objectives.
