Industrial CCTV system: Project overview
Safeguard Systems were contacted by a business located on an industrial site in Hampshire. This business was looking to improve overall security and had specific security objectives to meet.
Breaks-ins, vandalism and theft were on the rise in the local area with several businesses being broken into. With expensive machinery and IT equipment on site, this business needed to take a proactive approach to security.
Having designed and installed a range of CCTV surveillance systems at industrial sites, we knew we could help this customer protect and secure their premises.
The CCTV system recommendations
External IP CCTV cameras were installed to monitor all areas around and approaching the main building and car park.
Furthermore, IP cameras were deployed to provide coverage of key areas around the site perimeter. An additional amount of internal cameras were fitted to monitor for employee-related incidents and theft.
Safeguard Systems recommended a video surveillance system comprising of:
- Eight external IP Bullet Cameras
- Four internal IP Turret Cameras
- IR sensors were fitted to the cameras to trigger alerts internally
- 32 Channel Network Video Recorder (to offer the opportunity to scale the system)
Given the location of the site and the security objectives, we felt a two-pronged approach would work.
Industrial CCTV case study: Project outcome
Safeguard Systems deployed a team of experienced CCTV system installers to deliver this project. The system was fitted on time and to budget.
The customer is monitoring this system internally and all external areas of the site were covered by IP CCTV cameras.
As a result, the system we installed offers crystal clear footage, which the client can view 24/7 via an industry-leading application.
