Restaurant CCTV system: The project background
Safeguard Systems were approached by a prestigious London-based restaurant to review and upgrade its legacy CCTV system.
This restaurant needed to protect itself from employee theft and vandalism, and to offer its customers peace of mind.
Additionally, they needed an upgraded CCTV system to help spot incidents of general theft and accidents.
Safeguard has worked with this chain of independent restaurants for years. We are now their go-to security partner for CCTV, access control and all-around security.
When designing a CCTV system for an upmarket restaurant, a key consideration is delivering a discreet installation.
The restaurant’s aesthetic and design is an important factor in its operations.
Therefore, camera selection, well hidden wiring and positioning are key to a quality CCTV installation.
The proposed solution: Discreet IP network CCTV cameras
After an initial meeting and site survey, Safeguard Systems produced a detailed system design proposal.
To protect the site from the aforementioned security threats, we proposed a system comprising 10 high-res network security cameras.
Through carefully selected camera positioning, all internal areas in the restaurant are covered including:
- Till points
- The terrace
- Dining area
This restaurant has a reputation to uphold and attracts a wealthy clientele.
Discreetly fitted dome and turret cameras were paramount to maintaining the stylish aesthetic of this beautifully designed restaurant.
Restaurant CCTV - project outcome
The upgraded CCTV system was installed over two days and outside of peak hours. This ensured there was no operational interruption to this business.
This restaurant is now protected against a range of threats and operational headaches.
The upgraded CCTV system has the capacity for additional cameras. New cameras can be easily added to its current IP infrastructure.
