Upgrading an upgraded office CCTV system
Safeguard Systems were originally approached by a national organisation to install a video intercom system at their premises.
Their CCTV cameras had recently been upgraded but they were dissatisfied with the system.
CCTV camera footage quality in low-light was poor and there was limited coverage of the car park and other external areas.
Therefore, the recently ‘upgraded’ system wasn’t fit-for-purpose and need a professional CCTV company to start again from scratch.
Site survey and CCTV system recommendations
One of Safeguard Systems’ surveyors attended the site and met with the General Manager to discuss the objectives for the CCTV system.
As the site is located close to a residential area, there had been some issues with local kids littering and causing a bit of nuisance around the building.
Furthermore, as the current CCTV system didn’t provide full coverage of the car park, opportunistic thieves and vandals could target any vehicles left overnight.
The recommended system comprised of:
- 4MP CCTV IP Turret Cameras
- Weatherproof IP Loudspeakers
- 8 Channel Network Video Recorder
- Wall-mounted Data Cabinet
Business CCTV system upgrade: The project outcome
Safeguard Systems’ had a CCTV engineer visit the site, to install the system.
The IP CCTV cameras were positioned to provide full coverage of all external areas of the premises and the car park. Footage can be viewed remotely by the customer, with sensors added to the cameras to alert them of a potential security threat.
The IP loudspeakers were positioned near the side of the property and in the car park allowing the customer to communicate and warn any potential intruders they were being watched and action would be taken.
The end result? One happy customer a professionally designed and installed one fit-for-purpose business CCTV system.
